Festival Overview
The Greensboro Dance Film Festival is dedicated to merging performance and cinematic aesthetics to expand the possibilities of choreographic composition and structure. By pushing the boundaries of dance beyond traditional stage settings, screen dance offers a fresh and dynamic perspective on the art form. Located in historic Greensboro, North Carolina, GDFF utilizes both urban and rural settings to showcase dance films from around the world. Our festival is a platform for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and creative exchange among artists, making it a unique cultural experience.

Upcoming Events – Annual Festival Screening

Join us for the upcoming annual GDFF screening events February 2025! Experience an eclectic mix of dance films from various genres and countries. Enjoy the breathtaking backdrop of Greensboro’s urban and rural landscapes as they come alive with the magic of screen dance. 2025 Festival Submissions have opened and next year’s locations and activities TBA soon!

Workshops and Master Classes

We are excited to offer a series of workshops and master classes in dance and filmmaking. These sessions are designed for both beginners and experienced artists, providing opportunities to learn, create, and collaborate.
